My Audi A4 2007 doesnt pick up speed instantly when you push the gas paddle. there is delay in pick up. the car dies down & then starts taking motion/pickup.

sounds like you have a cloged fuel filter either that or you havea broken vacum line. first go under the hood while the car is running and use your ear to try and find any hissing noises and spry some soapy water from a sqwirt bottle onto the vacuum lines if there is no visable breaks in the vacuum lines. and check to see when was the last time you had changed the fuel filter as this is the most likely culprit
