2007 Ford Edge fuel tank replaced

Asked by GuruBR5PL Apr 23, 2019 at 09:44 PM about the 2007 Ford Edge SE AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a fuel tank leak which had been fixed
by prior owners ion recall. Now it sprang a
leak and the fuel tank was replaced along
with fuel pump. However, now my fuel gauge
is incorrect. I can fill it completely up and it
only shows 3/4 tank. Before tank was
replaced the gauge worked perfectly correct.
I’m wondering is wrong tank could have been
installed. It’s been in the shop 3 times. 1 for
tank replacement and 2 times over the gauge
and it’s still not right? Any suggestions

We have the same problem with our 2008 ford edge. Had the tank replaced because of a recall&it won't go past 3/4 tank after we fill it up.
