Have you had your alternator tested? It should be putting 14.5 volts.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF1gijj03_0 --- check this out. Perform parasitic draw test to find what's draining your battery. This might help if alternator tests good.
i have not had the alternator tested
Ok then I would have it tested. It might not be charging properly and that would cause your battery to go dead. Also tighten and clean all battery connections. Clean and tighten the negative battery connection on the frame and motor also. This to can cause a battery not to charge properly.
thank you i will try that
If your battery is dead in one day, and you don't drive it much, you have a short somewhere, or as stated above, poor connections that may need cleaning. Remove the connections and with fine sand paper or emery paper, clean the connections. If you have an alternator gauge on your dash it should tell you if you are receiving a charge from the alternator. If you don't have a gauge, does the alternator light come on? If it does, check the connections and or the alternator. My Buick has a sensor that tells me how much the alternator is charging. Depending on what you have for instrumentation, you may have a light stuck on, a radio on, or something on that is draining the battery at a high rate.
