Chevy lumina died and won't start again

Asked by Mark Feb 01, 2017 at 09:53 AM about the 1997 Chevrolet Lumina LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello again everyone. I got rid of my check engine light that was blinking
thanks to another user telling me to check mass airflow sensor. So i pulled
codes, one was engine misfire cylinder 1. The other was mass airflow
sensor. So i was driving to work and my car died on me, had to get towed
back and saw my car still had great battery light but wouldn't start. Charged
up battery to full and still tries to turnover but will not start no matter what.
Had a mechanic come out and he couldn't figure it out either. I have no
idea what to do next. Fuel pump is still good too.

spray a little starter fluid in the intake and see if she will start..

Gotta know if there is spark, and if you have the proper fuel pressure. Just because you say the fuel pump is good there are other factors that would cause low fuel pressure, so check it also.

I bet it's the fuel pump, spray some starter fluid and I bet it will start...
