The harmon/becker amp in my 2007 C 280 drains power from battery after car is turned off, but it works well otherwise...fix or exchange, where and how please?

The factory amp in my 89 Lincoln did the same thing. It was frustrating to find the problem. I am guessing that there is a dirty/wet electrical connection that is creating a circuit when the car is off. That is exactly what happened to mine. I would clean all electrical connections going to the amp with electronics cleaner spray.
Thanks but we have removed the amp and all is well. With the amp installed it drains...? Maybe a stero shop can bench test the amp???
Yes maybe you can but I would try to clean all the connections first and then hook the amp back up. Is the amp on an independent relay? Make sure its not stuck. Have you checked the connections with a multimeter while the car is turned off?
It is the amp-is does not "go to sleep" when the car is turned off.
