Doenst crank long enough

Asked by Damion Jun 06, 2020 at 12:00 AM about the 1997 Chevrolet Suburban K1500 4WD

So ive got a 1997 suburban and its got the engine
from a 99 same small block 350 but when i turn the
key to crank it over it will crank for just a second or
two. Can anyone tell me what i need to fix?

Easiest place to check is the starter relay. You can also check the ignition switch with a voltmeter, look for a "how to" for checking ignition switches with key on, key off.
