Asked by Rhoda Apr 11, 2013 at 05:47 PM about the 2007 Hyundai Accent GS 2-Door Hatchback FWD

Question type: General

I brought my car in BC the check engain light was on. I was told it need a new sensor so I had it replaced for 240,00. I left the shop and within 5 miles of driving the light came on. Took it bach to the shop and was told it's on now bc it needs a catalytic converter. I assume he turned the light out. It has not been on since so I asked today did he disable it. I was told no the catalytic converting read was because the sensor was bad the 2nd rear sensor couldn't read anything so when the 1st was repaired it tripped a faluse reading. Is this true?

If you have no check engine light, there's no telling what went on before. If you have a check engine light, go to the parts store and get the codes read. Write down the code number. Post the code number. Someone will tell you what is going on.
