sounds like fuel injector malfunction not a enough fuel or no fuel, or engine piston 2 air valve stuck open, check to see if gas is coming out the tail pipe if yes piston 2 air valve is stuck open, if none of these check misfire sensor maybe malfunctioning.
could be timing belt too.
Might try getting your fuel injectors blown. Have you replaced the spark plug wires as well? Is there oil in your cylinder head? (Where the spark plug threads into.) If so you might have a leak.
Easy way to check if i s a coil or some thing else is to switch the coded coil with 1 of the other 3 .If code changes than the coil is bad,if it codes the same that another problem
The coil is bad. Replace all spark plugs and make sure gap is .035. You can replace just the coil that is bad. To find the bad coil you can remove the wiring harness going to the coil while it is running. If there is no change while it is running then you have found the bad coil.
I am having the same problem with the misfire on cylinder 4. I replaced the spark plug and the ignition coil, but it still show the misfire. Could it be a spark plug wire issue? If so, how to check?
I have an 09 accent hatchback w/ 1.6L manual. OK the list of done Cylinder compression 125-127 all cylinders. 4 New coil packs 4 New per gap E3 plugs 1 New injector cylinder 2 Also checked fluid levels daily not leaking Also check tail pipe no fuel? Did the easy test to find. Disconnected ea coil while running. The enging sputtered on all the other cylinders but no change on cylinder #2. Also did a similar test on the injectors again only #2 had no difference. I performed these test before and after changing the 4 coilpacks and the 1 injector. I'm looking into the cam-phaser valve. ANY IDEAS BOYS and GIRLS
I am having the same problem with cylinder 1. Oddly enough if you restart the car the misfire goes away but comes back rather quickly.
