traction control button

Apparently there is no button. The system stays on until it is manually shut off. This process for the Lexus GS430 is supposed to work on the '06 Avalon so you can try it: http://www.automobilemag.com/features/news/0601_lexus_gs430_vsc/index.html
thanks man i have been tryin to figure it out for ever
Push in e brake, start the car (this of course means having to touch and release the regular brake), then with e brake still down press and release brake, press brake again and hold, release ebrake, press in ebrake, release ebrake, press ebrake (leave it down), press brake twice and now the traction control light will come on in your dash. Sounds complicated but it works and has to be done shortly after starting. If you get it wrong, turn off car and try again. Personally I find the traction control to be very dangerous when pulling out in traffic and hitting one tiny spot of ice or snow and then everything seems to stop.
How to turn off traction control
2012 Toyota Avalon Limited and the TRAC light is on.

I just did what Bruce2403 said, it worked on my 2007 toyota avalon touring. Problem is next time I start the vehicle it goes right back on. But I agree, personally I hate most of these traction controls and ABS braking. I have a 99 suburban I just pulled the 60 amp fuse for ABS. With the traction control when you live in northern states with snowy roads, they're garbage along with ABS.
