My car is shaking while in park and my vsc, trac off and check engine light came on suddenly!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have 2007 Toyota Solara with about 178k miles that is in
pretty good condition. I've always done my best to stay
on top of maintenance but today after driving around for a
few hours and leaving my car parked for about 4 hours I
turned it on and it was suddenly vibrating and when I put
the car in drive my vsc, trac off, and check engine lights
came on.
I haven't experienced anything like this before with this
car and a lot of the things I'm seeing online don't mention
their cars shaking in park. I don't hear any clicking on my
passenger side which I've read would be the engine
mounts but I'm just wondering what this could possibly
be?

Try fuel injector cleaner
Auto Zone will offer free check engine light reading for you to at least see potential problem areas. This will be a great place to start. Did the vibration stop when you put it in drive? Does it vibrate in Reverse, or when you are driving? What vehicle speeds does it occur at, and what rpm's. Any information helps. If it is a transmission issue, AAmco will also do a free diagnosis (you do not have to have your trans. serviced there). What city/state do you live in?

It could be your alternator . It happened to me before .. all of my dash lights started coming on one by one and my car started to shake .
It is your ignition coils that are bad. Computer check will tell you which cylinder to replace the ignition coil. Determine which one, take ignition coil out and slide new one in.
This just happened to me a month ago. Sitting at a stop light when the car started shaking and all those lights came on. I have a 2004 Toyota HIghlander with 95,000 miles on it. It couldn't be driven. Putting the car in drive and moving forward made things much worse. So, I had it towed. So far the mechanic has (1st trip) replaced the starter with a new battery (which my battery was only 11 months old), then (2nd trip) ignition coil and spark plugs. $1300.00 later and driving less than 30 miles, same thing happened again. Check engine light, trac off and VSC lights all came back on and the car is shaking. Going to need to tow it again. The car CAN NOT be driven. If I even try to drive it it will shake even more. Don't the mechanics have a tool where they can run diagnostics and get the answer for what is wrong if it's electrical??? I am so angry at my mechanic who has been working on my family's vehicles for over 15 years. I've never had a bit of trouble with this car and I'm really worried that he might have screwed something else up by letting me take the car and drive like it was fixed. What I'm saying is that the ignition coil and spark plugs have been replaced and that didn't fix it. Also, a new gas cap.
What was the issue? My Highlander just did the same thing!
Mine started doing this recently as well. Intermittent for the last several months and today after self clearing and driving perfectly smooth in the span of 3 seconds the check engine light, then the VSC and the super shudder (in that order) happened again while at highway speed (~95km/60mph). When I switched from Overdrive to 4th it smoothed out and did this consistently for the next 50km. Transmission problem? Engine mounts? Ignition coils? Mcortez55 and 805 raptor, what were your fixes??? Thanks!

I had this exact issue last year and now it is happening again. Check engine light on, vsc light blinking, car shakes at stop and takes forever to accelerate, and then smooths out around 30 mph. It was ignition coils and spark plugs for me.
