Doors won't stay open

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 rav 4 and the doors won't stay open. I try to put my groceries or load
something else and the doors close on me. They didn't use to do this. Is there any kind of
repair that can be done

There is a small part inside the door that is prone to wear easily. The friction that holds the door in position is provided by a small piece made of plastic. You need to carefully remove the blue plastic to access the inside of the door. The part in question is called the door check strap. As far as I know, it can't be adjusted, only replaced.
