ooo, I hate that when that happens...one looses faith in the machinery that may be used to bring a person to the hospital (for example) yes...this is intolerable...to confess, I always GET rid of cars that strand me~ we could start by checking the fuel pressure...the fuel pump may be weak...that would be my first guess~ grounding to the coil is something that could be affected by temperature~...perhaps at a weak and corroded state and needs a tending to~ see I cannot see your vehicle...but you have my thoughts...just TEST the fuel pressure...you could even relieve the pressure at the fuel rail...there is a "shoeder valve" for testing pressure (should be 30-50 PSI min)~ and not "go out"...would probably look to the fuel pump as the main cause for this...not the pump itself, but power to the pump~ (possibly~)
My son's been working on it n he said it's not getting spark when he tested it.
He thinks it's the coils but it's been like a guessing game, the car only has 80,000 miles on it n was well maintained
think there may be a recall or tsb on this~ your ignition switch is the stuff that lawsuits are made of~
bunch of 'em~ https://www.automd.com/tsb/buick_m/regal_mm/1992_y/
ooo, this is getting interesting~ http://www.carcomplaints.com/Buick/Regal/1992/

obviously we are not getting power from the battery...make sure the battery is New-ish~ and is at 12.5 volts~ check the power at the coil..engine switched on~ perhaps is a simple matter of cleanin' the battery terminals~
Same problem here. No codes. Once a blinking Service engine light (only for a couple of minutes). Sputters only when engine is on temperature. Shuts off (twice this week). Hooked up a code reader, when it died yesterday i got a pending P0336. Code was gone after restart. 2001 Buick Regal GS 3.8 supercharged.

I have the same problem but it does when it wants but gets worse and worse then all of a sudden it will run fine for a bit then back to dieting again. I think it's a wire somewhere.
Check your oil, I’ve heard that in 2011 Buick used thin piston rings and oil blows by them. I put in a can of ring seal and changed oil to 10w30 rather than 5w30 problem seems to be solved I hope!
I have a 2001 Buick Regal and it’s doing the same exact thing no codes and stalls out on me.
My Buick has become a nightmare with this problem. It goes idle whenever it wants. Ive changed batteries, alternators, starters, sensors, a wire that appeared rotted according to a mechanic and now they’ve discussed the transmission control module. It’s never ending. I’ll be getting a new vehicle and will never purchase Buick again.
Folks I have a 2015 Buick Regal that started doing this a couple of weeks ago. I noticed it happens more so when the air conditioner is on but not only then. Sometimes just driving down the road but mostly when slowing down or pressing on the gas after a stop sign or red light. It's a 2015 that was in great condition when I bought it with only 63,000 miles on it! And now I'm hearing a noise that sounds like a bad belt...but I'm no mechanic.

2013 buick regal gs turbo dies out while driving starts back up cuts off again diagnostic says nothing is reading up
I have the same problem same vehicle !! Need help
I am also having the same issue. (Buick Regal GS 3.8 Supercharged) Seems to have started having issues when I put my radio system into it, but not positive, could just be coincidence. Replaced fuel pump, was ok and a week later the same issues started up again. (It was a cheap pump, but dont know if that matters) Scanned the car with Modis, several misfires came up, so I replaced ignition control module, and all 3 coil packs. That didnt fix the whole issue, I was told to try a new fuel pump relay - ran better but still sputters and dies. Now going to try a new fuel filter (which I doubt will solve the problem) I have been trying to fix this car for MONTHS, now that I'm moving I desperately need it running. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!
