My 04 did the same thing but it was just the sensor that caused all the issues.

It could be the flow valve, attached to the rear differential.

I have the same issue AWD Disable and anti lock lights appear on dashboard, 2004 Buick Randezvous Be looking in under the differential part, also front wheel bearings. Not cheap to fix by today's mechanical rates, unless you do it your self.

It is the AWD Differential Control Valve. GM Part#88896067. We purchased one on Ebay from Buddy2300. They test and re-condition these valves and ours looked like brand new. Here is what their add says: When this part fails the DISABLE AWD warning will remain lit on your dashboard. These GM OEM valves are carefully removed from donor vehicles, cleaned, inspected, lubricated and THOROUGHLY TESTED using specialized tools and a compatible test vehicle. This guarantees proper functioning of the valve, saving you time and money. Our multi-step testing process ensures that the valve you receive opens, closes and operates as designed. It's important to thoroughly test these valves as some faulty valves will turn off the DISABLE AWD warning indicator while not actuating the valve. Shaking and listening for "rattle" is also not a valid test. We only sell top quality valves and they are completely ready to install. Photos are of the actual valve you will receive. This part is easily replaced. Start by carefully disconnecting the wiring harness jack by inserting a small flat screwdriver under the release tab. Slide the harness jack off the control valve plug. With ignition OFF, connect the new unit to the harness jack. Then start the vehicle and wait a few moments. Now the DISABLE AWD warning will not illuminate. Continue by cleaning the area around the old Differential Control Valve and removing the two bolts with a 10mm socket. Place a clean bucket below the differential case to catch the fluid. Remove the old valve by prying under the flanges with a putty knife to loosen. Then slowly pull the valve straight out while twisting slightly. Install the new valve, bolts, harness jack and replace the fluid. For proper maintenance and operation of the AWD, it is recommended to replace the used transfer case fluid with new factory specified Versatrak fluid.
