Asked by DON_5627 Jun 06, 2014 at 12:56 PM about the 2005 Buick Rendezvous CX FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The location is very confined.

I can see it, but can't reach it with a tool.

What needs to be removed to gain clear access to the horn?

I know your question might sound silly ; but, reading between the lines it is apparent that it is really a question we all have when we go under the hood and say : "Who designed this piece of s....! You are going have to do what ever it takes to get your hand in there OR do what a buddy of mine did. Leave the darn thing down in there and rewire a nice new horn up front somewhere you can get at.

you must remove the driver's side headlamp assembly. (not difficult, but don't rush it,) The horn is then visible and totally accessible, (plenty of room). I personally replaced the factory "sneeze" horn with a larger twin horn and is working nicely.
