Charge up the battery and start the vehicle and then take it to a auto parts store. Have the charging system checked and the battery checked. If both are good then there is a problem with the wiring. Sounds like you are just running off of the battery voltage. Check the fuses also. Another thing to check would be the positive wire that runs from the alternator to the battery, there is a fusible link in that wire that may be burnt out. You would have to check continuity of the wire to see if it is burnt out.

If you know how to use a volt meter start the car and check the voltage at the battery with the car running. You should see 13.5-15.0 volts (preferably 14.0 V) if not your battery is not getting charged. Second thing you may want to look into (I have see this before) is that while everything may look good while the car is running once you shut it off there is a drain on the battery. Are there any after market accessories that where hooked up and are on after the car is shut off? (I.E power amps, old security systems)
