Replacing 2005 Jaguar S-Type

Asked by Thomas May 13, 2016 at 04:40 PM about the 2005 Jaguar S-TYPE 4.2L V8 RWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

So, I'm looking at replacing my 2005 Jaguar S-Type
(r sedan). I'm looking for a car that is more reliable,
but also isn't a huge downgrade in performance
and looks. I am on a budget of only a bit more than
the cars value.
Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

The fast, easy suggestion is a 2005 Lincoln LS..If you like the aesthetics,Ford owned Jaguar for 19 years! and improved Jag a lot..a very clean original S-type is worth 4-5K same is true for '05 Lincoln LS 4-5k better be VERY excellent too.Regards

I agree with Auto_Centric that Ford improved Jaguar a lot. No problems at all with my 2007 XJ8 with 65,000 miles. As Far as what you are looking for there is plenty to choice from. I would try to go as new as possible with low mileage, as all auto makers reliability has improved. Audi is nice, but if something does go wrong its expensive. Not a Chrysler fan, but the 300 has some muscle and is cheaper to maintain.
