2000 S-Type, V6 Jaguar engine will not turn over with new battery

Asked by clearlight Sep 23, 2015 at 04:50 PM about the 2000 Jaguar S-TYPE 3.0L V6 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2000 S-Type, V6 Jaguar.  Original owner, car not driven much and battery
finally failed and was replaced.  Before battery was exchanged car was
jumped but starter never turned over engine and reacts the same with a
new battery.  Car always worked well before this happened.  Is there some
type of interlock keeping ignition from delivery voltage to starter?

Any feedback will be appreciated very much!

I'm thinking to check the main ignition fuse, or a fusible link down to the starter, or in a main power wire running to the fuse box.

They are anti theft system activated if you have a control try to lock and unlock if not work open all doors close first front passenger one of the time continue and finish with driver door leave close and insert the key in the driver door turn lock until sounds the alarm then unlock with the key do it 3 times and try. To opens the Windows and close them only using the key after these steps remove the key insert the key in the ignition switch the car should start
