i have a jaguar xj V8 3.2 year 2001.the drivers window has started going up slowly and stops about 1 inch from completely closing.what could this be

the drivers door window has started going up very slow.and it stops going up
about half an inch before it is completelt closed

My guess is that the window motor is tired or that the window guides are worn or out of alignment causing excessive drag. You will probably need to open the door up to find out what the problem is.
