Turn key and nothing

I bought it used 1996 lumina.
And when i turn the key
absoulutly. Nothing happens ,
but i have check all fluid ,
fuses , not quite sure how to
get directly to battery , tried
jumping it and just nothing
and im not understanding
why ??

The battery should be on the drivers side of the car under the windshield washer reservoir. It requires some disassembly to get to directly. Check for a bad connection at the battery. If the battery is completely dead or defective, you might not be able to jump the car. If you can turn the headlights on and they seem bright . you more than likely don't have a voltage issue. Possible starter, neutral safety switch, or ignition switch issue.
