Is my AC broken or does it just need Freon?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The air from my AC has slowly been getting hotter over the past couple
weeks. So i thought that maybe it needed some Freon in it. I bought a can
of EZ Chill with oil in it and I had a room mate help me put the Freon in and
showed me that the ports were on the drivers side on top of the relay block.
When he attached the hose to the port, the gauge said that it was full. But a
lot of Freon leaked out of the can and some out of the port too. Now I have
no cold air coming out of the vents. Do I need to just buy another can and
better hose to refill it or have I done this wrong? Any help about this will be
greatly appreciated!

We attached it to what he thought was the low side. It has been a long time since I last added Freon and I thought we did it to the high end before this.

If you added a can of EZ chill the hose that comes with it will only go on the low side will not fit the high

We bought a refill can that didn't come with the hose since we had one. Would it be better to go buy another one with the hose?
A/C work is best left to an experienced technician.

Take your hose with you the the parts store and compare it the hose they sale to charge the A/C if it matches you have the correct hose.
When idling the ac is fine once I press on gas I get a rattling nose?
