2007 Escalade EXT, Service Traction Control and Service Stabilitrak light came on. front wheel bearings are bad. could that be the cause of the warning lights? engine or car did not slow down

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am wondering if the bad front wheel bearings would cause the warning to come up?  or could it be the steering sensor?  How do I tell what the problem is.  No code comes up when I plug it into the computer.

Hello... I don't think it's a wheel bearing problem. If it was a wheel bearing or wheel sensor.... your ABS service light would come on. There's a stabletrak sensor under the Steering column under the dash that may have gone bad.

Just some info here. I just replace my steering position sensor which was very difficult to find but thanks to a dealership in Houston Tx they advised me the 6 pin was no longer available ( got that a lot) but that they use the 8 pin which did work but did not fix my stabilitrak warning light. I had been fighting my fuel vapor system & ended up finding the hose going to the purge solenoid was broken. I replaced it & both issues have been resolved for over a week now. Hope this is helpful.
