2007 Cadillac escapade low fuel pressure

Asked by Gigilee7 Oct 16, 2017 at 08:06 PM about the 2007 Cadillac Escalade AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 escapade awd 6.2. We'll my bolts
we're loose on side of engine where goes to
Cadillac converters. After mechanic tightened that
up and fixed couple lil things he figured out I
needed new converters. So he switched them out.
We'll now it's saying low fuel pressure and he
doesn't know why!  He's changed spark plugs
checked coils and fuel injectors. So what else
could it be for it to sound rough running and saying
low fuel pressure?

Unless he damaged a fuel line this is just a coincidence. Try changing out the fuel filter. Make sure the O2 sensors were hooked back up.

Pull the vacuum line off of the fuel pressure regulator. If you smell gas in the vacuum line it is time for a new regulator.

Well the mechanic did check the fuel line and it was fine I had him check the regulator and he checked all the coils fuel injectors fuel filter all that he said was good he pulled the gas tank today and change the fuel pump didn't tell me if it was bad. he said that's only thing left it could be. well I get a call and he tells me it still is not starting that now he says it is the body module regulator (I think that's what he called it) its under the seat. He said it communicates with the computer or brain of the truck or something like that he said. he's changed everything else and it ended up still not getting no fuel pressure he says. So does anybody have any advice or know anything about this body module regulator or should I just switch mechanics huh? Lol

Your mechanic seems to not have a clue. I would consider a different one.

Well I'm having the same issue with mine as well. It's saying low fuel pressure. But it still runs and drives ok. No loud noises. Took it to Cadillac dealership and was told I need a new engine. Just like that and the car drives ok ???
