Can I get factory remote start installed in 2007 SRX

I purchased a used 07 SRX last weekend and have just discovered it has remote start using the standard 4 button fob. I have not been able to find any documentation so far on how to use the feature but now believe I have figured out to use it. To operate the remote start I must press the lock button until I hear the horn confirmation 2x, then press and hold the unlock button until the car starts. To shut off the engine, again I press the lock button until I hear the horn confirmation 2x, then press and hold the lock button until the car shuts off. Really nice feature. I had no idea the car had this option and found it totally by accident.

@ hunzacker, was the remote start standard? How did you know that you had it?

My wife has a 2006 SRX and we found the same thing. Press the lock button three times and it starts. Happened to find this by accident. Also, pressing the electric door lock inside her car three times does the same start. If anyone touchs the brake pedal without the key in the run position the car shuts right off. I asked my local Cadillac dealer about that and one of the tech writers explained that the STS and DTS had the same module out in them but the SRX was not supposed to have the remote start feature but got it anyway.

I have a 2007 SRX and I cannot get the remote start to work as you all have described. I've tried several times and I cannot even get the garage door opener to program inside the car. I give up!
