Is the battery suppose to stay at full charge when driving

Asked by GuruJXSS7 Jul 28, 2020 at 03:35 PM about the 2007 Cadillac STS V6 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I start my 2007 Cadillac STS the battery show 14.2 voltage which is
normal. After i drive it for about 39 minutes it drops down to about 13.4. Is this
because the alternator is using most of the power. Thanks

1 Answer

The charging voltage drops because the battery is fully charged.
