Engine trouble with my 1995 Chevy Caprice 5.7 engine

Asked by Shari Jun 27, 2016 at 01:03 PM about the 1995 Chevrolet Caprice Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At first when the engine was cold, it started right up and ran great.  After it
was warmed up, it began to start hard. Now it starts super hard cold.  It sits
and misses, then it catches and runs smooth at idle.  As soon as you touch
the gas pedal, it shuts right off and won't start for hours.

Buy the factory service manual, about 800 pages,I've used one on my 96 5.7. It tells you step my step of what and how to test each part to tell you what to replace or repair. Its THE authority on THAT car. It can answer all questions.
