Hi. I was told that a range rover is not able to jump another cars battery because the brain of the range rover is so intricate and I can do expensive damage to my R.R. Is this true?

(I have an interstate battery that's 1 yr. old.) Now my alarm keeps going off 4 days after I jump started a car. I hope you can help. Thank you.

you may need to bring the RR to a mechanic or dealer to see if they can clear the error in the computer.
Having the same problem on my 2011 range rover after I jumpstart it. You found a solution
That’s total BS! If you plan to have a RR for a while, you need to get a diagnostic scanner. Don’t be afraid, you’re not going to break anything & it will save you thousands down the road. There are tons of different diagnostic tools, just do the research and find the best one for your budget! The thing about LR computers is that they are very sensitive, especially when it comes to the battery. You’ll end up receiving numerous codes throughout the life of your LR, all due to fluctuation in amperage from the battery. Just erase & move forward! If you go to the dealership, you’ll end up with a diagnostic charge at minimum. Possibly replacement of parts that are unnecessary, but you’ll never leave without dropping $1000. So, buy a good $500 diagnostic tool and keep it in your truck to clear the coded. Before you know it, you’ll be telling them what’s wrong with your truck and what it should cost to fix it.
i dont think so,, i used portable jump starter for my RR Evoue 2016 and it worked fine, No issue at all. Car still under warranty

I jump started our new Chevy diesel truck, and within 3 days, I had blown every electrical module, except the interior lights. They are still trying to figure out if it was lightening or what? The shame is that I believe I caused the problem by jump starting the truck. I lost ABS and nearly crashed after my breaks locked up on a highway on ramp. I’m a High Speed Performance instructor and raced vintage, so I know driver error. Every light, including the engine light, emergency break, etc came on. Anyone know differently?
