Tail and brake lights

I have a 2006 Kia Optima around 6.30 am my tail
and brake lights come on for no reason I am not
even in the car I have a brand new battery so I
know that not the problem the other day around
6.30 did it again and drained the battery so I bought
a new battery yesterday and this morning happened
again I started the car pumped the brakes and
turned on head lights and off an de tail and brake
light still stayed on had to disconnect the battery
what could be my problem where do I start looking
?

Good morning Lynette. It sounds like your brake lamp switch. It can be located above the brake pedal. Some are adjustable while others are not. Unplug it and if your lights go off it's your source. Safety Notice: Please be advised your brake lights will not work with it unplugged.

Danny_atx it was able to tighten my friend said he could see what was going on and it was loose so glad did not have to buy but will keep a eye to see if lights come back on thank you
