Kia Sorento 2006 AC blows on low

Asked by Andrew Aug 15, 2017 at 07:20 PM about the 2006 Kia Sorento EX 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my Kia Sorento 2006 has an AC malfunction.
When I turn on my car and turn the fan up, there is
no increase in how much it blows out. I put my
hand up to it, and I can slightly feel air coming out,
but not how much is supposed to come out. I
bought a fan motor, thinking the speeds could not
be working, but I have not tried it yet. I would really
appreciate someone's opinion and suggestions
before I install the new motor. Once I install it, the
auto parts store will not take it back. Just want to
make sure. Thanks ahead of time.

i would change the speed selector switch first or find where the fan speed resistor is and test it before installing a new motor as the resistor switch that governs the speed of the motor tends to go before the motor itself
