I have a Chrysler 300 touring with a 3.5 v6 when I start it and the engine is cold the check engine light will flash on and off and it runs very rough and has no power but when it warms up it runs fine I have had it scanned and it shows a Radom cylinder misfire. I have changed the 02 sensors the spark plugs the gas cap and the fuel pump and still has the same problem and from time to time when you go to start it it cranks several times before it starts. Does anyone have any idea what else it could be??

The 'brain', or module may not be telling it to give it a more rich fuel/air ratio when cold, it's like a choke that seems to be not working

It could just boil down to a worn ring or a damaged piston but it could just be the timing for that cylinder is off by just a few degrees. Start by checking the distributor then the timing if those are good then it is most likely the ring or piston

You are experiencing cold idle starts. I have a 300 that gave me the same or similar symptons. If you have a code reader, it should tell you the same. Clear the code and see if it comes back. I cleared mines and haven't seen the code again, so apparently it was a soft code, which means a code that triggers a potential problem. A hard code is one that will often keep coming back within moments showing you have a critical problem.
