Clicking sound

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
When I go over 40 mph my car starts making a loud
clicking sound from the front passenger side tire
well. I have taken it apart a few times and I can't
seem to find the problem. Any suggestions?

I would suspect a bad CV joint. Does it also make a clicking noise when making sharp left or right turns?
No only when going over 40 mph I tried in reverse and sharp left/right turns and it seems to be only when going faster than 40
Check the wheel bearings as well.

Those are all good answers but I once had a car with steel wheels and plastic hubcaps. While driving, the slight flexing of the steel wheels made the hubcaps click and tick. It even fooled the best mechanics until we saw signs of wear in places the hubcaps attached to the wheels. Drive with your hubcaps off (if possible) and see if the sounds stop. I hope this helps.
