2001 Suburban 5.3 leaking coolant

coolant is leaking at rear of engine. its an external leak that puddles under the
car but I cant tell where it originates. engine oil is normal, performance is fine
except for temperature rise after several hours of operation.

Probably the heater hose that hooks into the back of the intake.
I like your answer! I thought hose "connection" but hose itself makes good sense. Any tips or tricks for replacement?
Well the way they have those connected, it is possible it is the connection also. You have to pinch the plastic tab and work it out. They make new connectors, and molded heater hose for that one. Also by the looks of it there is a coolant bypass hose that goes by things to rub on. So just check the heater hoses & connections.
