New Battery?

Asked by nativebby98 Feb 06, 2019 at 10:08 AM about the 1995 Chevrolet Lumina LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina and a month ago, it stopped running. We think it may be the battery needs replaced. It was sitting for a year through fall and last winter and I was wondering if anyone knows if it might just be needing a battery? Timing isn't skipped so we don't know what else it could be. Thank You

Best thing to do would be to pull the battery out and take it to a garage or auto parts store. They can charge and then test the battery for you. If the batterst is 4 years old or more, you probably need a new one.

also, if you'll have the car sitting awhile, it actually helps to save the battery if you keep the negative cable unhooked during that time.
