Overheating

Asked by JK1988 Jul 25, 2017 at 11:29 PM about the 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Wagon FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2007 PT cruiser. Started overheating with
bad engine knock. Drive less than a mile,
and it is in the red. Coolant is full. First time
it did this, the fan had quit. If I let it cool off
for a few minutes, it goes back to normal
but rises again as I drive away. I can smell
coolant, but don't seem to be losing any.
Car is undriveable. Help!!!!
