2001 Saturn L300 losing power

I have a Saturn that when the temp gauge reaches the halfway mark, the
service engine soon light and the service light (with the wrench) come on.  At
this point, the RPMs rev and I lose the acceleration.  Usually has to sit 20
minutes then will go again.  Was diagnosed as EGR Valve but have had that
replaced..................HELP

Please let me know if u find out what is wrong. I am having same issue

Especially if I accelerate quicker and push it over 3000 rpms often on a longish drive (half hour to an hour).

I had the problem I just fix the problem it to call catalytic converter hollow it out and you'll be good to go
