what would cause the service engine light to go on, it goes on everytime I have it washed

If in USA. Some auto zones will check your cel codes for free. Sounds to me like you possibly have a electrical connection getting wet causing the cel. One of my cars has an O2 sensor that when it rains the connection gets wet and causes a cel code.

Thanks so much, we have had everything else checked and everything seams to be fine. So I will go have that checked
