How can I tell if it has jumped time

Turn the crankshaft manually to the TDC mark on the crank pulley
Turn the crankshaft manually to the TDC mark on the pulley. Remove the distributor cap and see if the rotor is in position to fire the number one cylinder ( if it’s a four cylinder it may be aligned with number four) either way will be correct. If it’s not aligned with either cylinder, it has jumped time.
