Can I swap out the stock 4-Cylindar engine with a v6 of some type? If so what would be a good candidate for a donor car?

Im pretty sure they didnt make a V6 version of the SL2... I want an engine from GM so it is the same general company as the original. I was thinking of maybe seeing if the engine bay could support a V6 pontiac gran prix engine.

a supercharged 3.8 has been shoved in there, ive never seen any videos of it running though. but no, there isnt any other motor other than the SOHC and DOHC 1.9s that will bolt into the car w/o major modificaitons.
