Car over heating.

Had thermostst replaced. Fan motor switch replaced. Still over heats when idle. Mechanic says the dealer needs to replace the computer? Is it worth doing? 137000 miles.

Thanks Mark. Seen a lot of chatter on this issue. Your probably right. The car never steamed up and there was no (boiling) sounds from the radiator. Will loet you know what happens.

Define what overheating is. Is the needle on the temp gauge getting into the red zone?

Had the code checked at aamco and they told me it was coolant temp sensor and autozone sells them for around $10 and easy to change.
