My 01saturn s be driving down
the road 55-65 mph and all at
once it downshift into second
gear somtimes cut switch off for
few minutes and shift for awhile
sometimes take battery loose.

I have the same problem with my car. I took it to the transmission shop and they said it was electrical. They recommended I do a trans flush, which I did and seems to help the problem. I get a flush done every 3-6 months to keep on top of it and so far I have not had that issue come back.
