yes, because obviously junkyards are experts on all of the different transmissions and gear ratios that exist between the 1st, second and final designed transmissions. Now stfu...http://www.differentracing.com/tech_articles/gearratio.html. If you have an auto trans, you must use an MP6 from 1998-2002, if you have a manual trans and want to keep cruise control, you have to use a 1998-2002 MP2 transmission.

Depending on the motor, anything '98 and newer. So if you have a DOHC get the DOHC trans, and the same for the SOHC.

I have a 2002 Saturn SL1 and it needs a new transmission. I have a friend that says he'll sell me a 2002 Chevy Cavalier transmission and I can put it in the Saturn. Is this accurate? Thanks-adam
