tire gauge light wont go off

check tire pressure and  gauge light stays on

Couple of possibilities here. The sensor outside the tire could be caked with crud and dirt. Check and clean. The sensor inside the tire could be/is battery operated. Usually with a life of five years or so. Your vehicle is about nine.
