The Traction Control light does not go off when driving. It only goes off when it is first started but comes on when starting to drive. How do you fix this problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I am looking to purchase a 2007 ford five hundred but the traction control light is staying
on. I had a 2005 model but never had a problem. I need to know if this is a serious
problem and maybe not purchase it, or if it is nothing to worry about, just a cheap quick
fix.

Take it to AutoZone or Advanced Auto Parts and have them read the code. That way you know what it is.
Probably a wheel speed sensor. It does have 4 identical wheels & tires, right? If not exactly what you describe will happen
No code comes up all the tires are identical same size and tread depth. The car drives fine no sounds, smooth running just the traction control light won't go off.
I'm having this same issue. It used to come on under more demanding driving, steep grades at high altitude and would come off after an ignition cycle but it is now coming on after a couple of miles of simple in town driving. My center engine mount bushing is extremely worn and I don't know if there are any other drivetrain issues. It has 160000 miles on it and lots of mountainous gravel road driving.
I have the same issue I already got my turpintine belt replaced and alternator and its till doing it.
