Troubleshooting the electrical in my car

My 07 Ford Focus will not start
when you turn the key over any
theft light blinks. When you turn
the headlights on I lose all power
to dash lights blinkers.
Windshield wipers won't work.

Sometimes when there is corrosion on the battery cables it seems like its dead. Have someone check the battery .
