Is it my battery or alternator?

my car wont start. when i turn the ignition over, my radio and lights and everything
electrical turns on, but it doesnt start. and it just kind of makes a choking noise. and
when i turn it off the radio starts staticing and then it just kind of dies.

Battery sounds like its done. Take it to an auto parts store. They can load test it for you to be certain.
