Question type: General
I own a 2007 Chevy suburban and need new tires. I see all different answers when I look on these forums. so I figured ill ask the question. can I fit 285/70 R17 tires under my suburban with changing anything? or have the tires rub?

According to Edmunds.com it comes with P265/70R17 tires stock, so you are talking about adding 20mm width, less than 3/4 inch, and just a little bit of height. Remember the 70 is the aspect ratio, the % of width, 70% width being the height of sidewall, so even though the 70 is the same it will be taller
I was guessing..actually a little over 3/4 inch...0.78
so I shouldn't have any problem with the tires rubbing? what is the clearance with the wheels turned to the right or the left?
That I don't know..never owned a Suburban. But maybe somebody that has will know.
Make sure they fit on your 7.5 inch wheels, or you will have to spend a fortune on new rims or try to find used steel rims that will accept the wider tire
on 02 i got 285/65/18 on rear on front 275/65/18
I have P275 / 55 R20s on my "07 Suburban
Can I put 265-75-17s on my suburban I bought some wider wheels but they have 285s on them was wondering if I went to 265s if I'll have to do anything else
I have 22's on my 2019 suburban

I have 26 in rims on my 19 suburban and the tires are 305/30/26... i get a slight bit of rub because i went 305 rather than 295 on the width. The suburban can handle a 31inch in diameter wheel overall. Anythin latgwr than a 31 inch diameter will not work without at least a 2 in ch lift..... this is true for 2003 through 2019. I am speaking from experience
I just bought a 2019 Surburban amd getting 22s for it. Hopefully all I have to do is have the tire shop put them on.
@moneylandman you ride looks sick. However, you are off a bit on the diameter of tire you can run. My old 2008 Suburban came stock with 265 70 17 which is 31.6" (larger than you referenced as the maximum) and you can go to about 33 without rub.
