I bought one back in August. Awesome truck. Got decent gas mileage with the 3.7L V-6. Mine was a stripped-down model so I can't comment on the power options available. The 4WD available with the 3.7 is a direct-drive, so you can't drive with 4WD all the time on dry roads. The 4.7L engine gets you a 4WD option that can be used constantly. I put about 3,000 miles on mine with zero problems and lots of positive comments on the roominess of the quad cab and the styling of the truck. I quit my teaching job and sold the truck to my dad, as I didn't want a car payment. He has owned it for a month now and loves it! I would go for one if you can find one. Mine as a stripped-down version ended up being about $25k, they can get as high as $36k.

Found this on google. My third Dakota, gave the first one away with 320,000 miles on it, #2 t- boned a Chevy Blazer doing 60 mph (he pulled out, did not see me) front bumper was sitting on the front tires, both front doors still opened and I walked away. It had 265,000 at that time. #3 Had to go to Michigan to find it, Quad Cab, V8, Manual Trans. FUN TO DRIVE. I maintain them well and drive them hard, no major problems from any of them.
