Light not working in chevy hhr
Asked by Whitaker16 Jul 06, 2018 at 11:15 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet HHR LS FWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
There is a small blue light on the headliner of the
chevy hhr. It was convenient for shining the light on
the window switches and gear shift. It quit working
after a motor replacement and I don't know where
to start because I don't know what it's called. The
lights in the shifter module isn't working either so
I'm guessing it's probably a fuse. Any more
information could practically help at this point.
Thanks!

mostly it is a fuse problem because that light is LED and does not blow out that much easily.
I took my 2006 hhr into have my oil changed, lights were working fine. After paying and getting ready to leave, I noticed my auto lights had been turned off. I asked the guy why, he said we had to check the lights. And he said by the way, you have a headlight out, you have no taillights, nor brake lights. I had the headlight bulb changed out, also changed out taillight bulbs, but they still are not working, neither is the top panel light and gear lights. Which fuse controls these lights?

@ Jeri There are two places for fuses in the hhr. One is under the hood and the other is on the passenger side covered behind plastic trim. I hope this helps.

There should be diagrams on the covers to tell what the fuses control.
