After I hit a pothole the gas gauge on my Solstice stopped working what happened?

I doubt it was the pothole. The gas gauge needle is a known and common problem. Two things to remember. First, do not run the car under a quarter of a tank. Second, every other fill up or so, add a bottle of fuel treatment. I use Lucas injector and fuel treatment, and it is avaliable everywhere. The GM manual says to use GM brand, but it is too pricey for me. So, go fill your Sol up. Do not run it under a quarter. Use a fuel treatment now and then.
