does anyone know of preformance intakes that fit on 07 2.5 i model subarus?

an intake is an intake it don't matter its just a pipe with a cone filter your pretty much looking for which brand name you like to look at more under your hood true cobb is awesome and it is already Subaru blue pipe lol but if you have connections which by the sounds of the question you don't really know what your doing then i would just buy a k&n cone filter and have someone fab up a custom pipe a lot cheaper and it could potetionally look a lot cleaner

I agree with the others, Cobb definitely makes a very good product, and their support is fantastic. If you don't mind the money K&N makes a very good system for it as well, you can find it on their website (or cheaper on amazon.com). I just installed a K&N Typhoon on my '06 WRX and it went on easy in about 45 minutes. True they're mostly for show and noise, but I would beware really cheap systems that're just a filter on the end of a pipe, the last thing you want is turbulence over the MAF, which at the least is gonna give you a check engine light. Systems with velocity stacks supposedly solve this, and both the Cobb and K&N have them. Heat shields supposedly help as well, which both systems have (K&N standard, Cobb optional). Oh, Perrin is supposed to make a good one too, though it's pretty pricey for all the components (and goofy lookin if you ask me). Hope that helps!

K&N and Cobb are probably the two best you can go with. But there are others to be found and for less money.. Might want to look around on NASIOC for a deal.

Im sorry to say dude.. but putting a Pod or a uni filters on 2any subura is pretty much a wait of time unles u want the induction noise.. most suburas when fitted with a so called performace filters coz the car to run rich, use more fuel and sometime have troulbe stalling or best bet is installing a standard STi fliter whch isnt much differents for a normal one just a larger surface...

You have a warranty. Not to say it's common for an i to need it, but seriously, cover your self and don't void it. The only way to put an intake on and not void the warranty is to buy a Subaru one!

I have an 04 impreza RS and i installed an AEM intake with a stainless steel mesh filter about 2 years ago, the car runs awesome and sounds even better, haven't had any problems either, not sure if the 07 is a different intake, i would definately check that system out though.

Be careful with the Air Mass Meter... just a though...

Truthfully if your not boosted don't bother with trying to go faster and work on your suspension. And don't the NA subarus use a MAP sensor not a MAF like the turbo ones? which would mean it really wouldn't matter what intake you run as long as it's not a complete piece of crap. If they do use MAFs then i would no doubt get the Cobb not only cuz it's a good name but because they are the only intake that doesn't cause boosted subarus (i assume it would apply to an NA subaru that has a MAF) to run lean which WILL cause engine damage if run like that long enough. CN: Don't waste your time on intake do suspension mods. If you must get a Cobb because they don't mess with the AFR.

Cobb currently makes nothing for NA Subaru engines, and I'm not sure if they ever made an intake for it. If someone says "I put xxx intake on my WRX/STi", just ignore it, because you can't use turbo intakes on your car. Injen makes a cold-air intake which can be made into a short ram by leaving off the pipe going into the fender, Cosmo Racing makes a cold air and short ram, which are pretty similar to the Injen, but cheaper, or you can replace the piping between the MAF holder and the throttle body (getting rid of the so-called "torque box") with PVC or ABS piping. Just make sure to put in fittings for the vacuum lines.

i know i'm a lil late for this but whatev. everyone keeps saying cobb and i agree tho i don't think a lot know that you're not turbo. another person has gone into enough detail about crap so i won't. my only opinion is don't do intake if you're na unless that's what you want cuz you won't get much extra horsepower

Most people gain about 10-ish from it, so it's certainly worthwhile.
