i have a 94 camaro 3.4 v6 the motor is basically shot after have 200k miles on it but i came across some body that has a carberated 305 i was wonderin if i could switch out my 3.4 v6 for the 305 and keep the transmission the same since i just got a new1 and if i can wat snags would i come across

i have a brand new tranny and so forth i was wondering if i would have to part out my old motor change the mounts and so forth any info or tips would be much appriciated

i would just find a 305 or 350 that came out of the same gereration camaro to ensure that it matches. better off upgrading the tranny too if you are putting a bigger motor cause more than likely the v6 you have now doesnt have a tranny that can handle the v8 power (and they may not even bolt up). im not very familiar with these camaros, im used to the old school. easier and cheaper to work on. call your local chevy dealer, they can tell you all about it

you would have to change the radiator ,exhaust, front suspension, drive shaft, and figure out what to do with all the excess wireing being it wont be fuel injected. there is much more to it than just swapping an engine.
